Gruppo Eddy

Sunday, 23 June | from 10:30 AM
Boschetto - Parco Ciani

The quartet was formed within the guitar class of the CSI. It includes Davide Prina and Enrico Tripodi, who have formed a stable duo for several years, and Davide Dipilato and Yuri Santangelo, who are pursuing solo careers. The proposed works are transcriptions of pieces by Rossini, Bizet, and Boccherini. Reinterpreted with four guitars, they acquire new sonorities, offering a unique perspective on themes familiar to the audience. The program also features two Duo concertantes by the French composer Antoine de Lhoyer (1768-1852), which are lively and dynamic, complementing the quartet's pieces well.

Concerto romantico. Il Primo Concerto di Chopin in una versione d’autore

Sunday, June 30th | from 10:30
Boschetto - Parco Ciani

Chopin represents in many ways the quintessence of Romanticism in music. Chopin's entire life and musical activity are tied to one instrument: the piano. Unfortunately, his compositions for piano and orchestra are few and date back to a youthful phase when Chopin wrote two concertos in Warsaw and some occasional pieces of great effect and virtuosity, with the aim of "breaking through" in the European capitals, Vienna and Paris in particular. To promote the circulation of the two concertos, Chopin created several versions: for symphony orchestra, for string orchestra, for quintet, and for solo piano. Pianist Michele Fedrigotti, a great specialist in Chopin, is the exceptional interpreter of Concerto No. 1 in E minor for piano and orchestra.
