From April 7th to 10th Pasqua in Città will celebrate both Easter and the beginning of spring. Once again this year, the centre of Lugano will be transformed into a cheerful market with numerous stalls selling traditional products, while the pedestrian area will be the stage of street animations for adults and children. Don’t miss the Treasure Hunt, the best-loved family event that will take place inside Parco Ciani every day from Friday to Monday; the route will be a special opportunity to test yourself and will offer sweet surprises. The participation kit costs CHF 2 per child (07-10.04, 11:00 – 17:00, last admission at 16:30, start at the Darsena of Parco Ciani). Animations open to all children will take place at Casetta di Pasqua (Easter Chalet) in Piazza Manzoni, where a portable playroom with handmade wooden toys and creative workshops with recycled materials (07-10.04, 10:00 – 18:00, Piazza Manzoni).
The city centre will host the traditional Easter market, an opportunity to discover and purchase handicrafts, local products, and gifts (07-10.04, 10:00 – 19:00, City Centre). Itinerant music with groups – Duo Nostranello, Tirabüscion, and i Biagiöö – will play folk music in the streets (07-10.04, 10:00 – 18:00, City Centre).
There will be more music with the Filarmonica di Castagnola and the Amici Corno delle Alpi. “Auguri in musica” (Greetings in music) is the program proposed by the Filarmonica di Castagnola to celebrate the arrival of spring (08.04, 17:00, Patio del Municipio), while on Monday morning a multitude of horns will be played in the picturesque Parco Ciani and the city centre (10.04, 10:00 – 11:30, Parco Ciani and City Centre). TCS will be present in Piazza Manzoni on Friday to offer free bike checks – a road behaviour awareness activity proposed in collaboration with the Municipal Police for all children (07.04, 10:00 – 18:00, Piazza Manzoni). Also on Friday, the Lugano Plan B stand will be in Piazza Manzoni: from the age of 12, it will be possible to participate in contests and win fantastic prizes. On-site, you can also request your MyLugano Card and obtain information about Plan B, the joint initiative between the City of Lugano and Tether to accelerate the use of bitcoin technology and use it as a basis to transform the city’s financial infrastructure. The Saetta Verde Association will be present on Saturday (08.04 from 10:00 to 18.00) presenting many activities dedicated to children and their families, combining bicycle repair with board games. Finally, on Monday, there will be an extraordinary opening of the shops in the city centre (10.04, 10:00 – 18:00, City Centre).
