Authorisation to participate in the Food Market or the General, Crafts and Used/Antiques Market is issued by Divisione eventi e congressi.
Food and flower market
The market offers mainly typical food products from small farmers who sell their produce directly.
Every Tuesday and Friday: 07:30 – 14:30

Antiques and handicrafts market
Market in the vicinity of the Quartiere Maghetti for fans of antiques, vintage, handicraft items or those in search of unique and original pieces.
Every Saturday: 08:00 – 17:00

Second-hand market
The second-hand market is designed to valorise the recovery of objects that are no longer used, but are still functional and in good condition. The 2022 editions will be held at the Capannone in Pregassona.
Days and opening hours:
The flea market will take place Saturday 17 September 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Capannone Pregassona
Via Ceresio 25, Pregassona.
Registration will open one month before each date.
Conditions of participation:
- Residence within the Municipality of Lugano
- Companies or sole proprietorships are not allowed
- No new/never used items accepted
- Payment of the entry fee (CHF 10.-)
To take part in the second-hand market, you must fill in the application form and send it by e-mail to [email protected] or by post (City of Lugano, Divisione eventi e congressi – via Trevano 55, 6900 Lugano) by the deadline stated on the application.
The event is attended by Caffè Riparazione.
Special Markets
During the Easter in the City, Autumn Festival and Lugano Christmas City events, Divisione eventi e congressi organises the market dedicated to the individual events.
Since 2016, there has also been Street Food and an evening market on the lakefront during the LongLake Festival.
Below you will be able to access all the necessary information such as dates, rates for renting exhibition facilities, as well as the application form for your submission.
Please note that submitting an application does not automatically confer the right to an exhibition stand.
Market - Natale in Piazza 2022
The Market will take place from 1 to 24 December 2022 in the city centre and will be open to the public every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for 24 December when it will close at 5 p.m.
The application form and information for the 2022 edition will be published at a later date.
Market - Pasqua in Città 2022
The market will take place on Saturday 16, Sunday 17 and Monday 18 April 2022 from 10:00 to 19:00. Stalls will be located along the lakefront from Riva Giocondo Albertolli to Riva Vincenzo Vela.
We would like to inform you that the deadline for submitting the registration form for the Easter Market expired on 27 February 2022, so registration for the event is now closed.
Mercatino Primavera 2022
The 2022 Street Food Festival is scheduled from Thursday 21 July to Saturday 23 July, from 19:30 to 00:30 on Thursday and Friday and from 18:30 to 00:30 on Saturday. Stalls will be located along the lakefront from Riva Giocondo Albertolli to Riva Vincenzo Vela.
The submission deadline for the registration form is 3 July 2022. Deadline submission closed.
Mercatino Estate 2022
The Market takes place on Sunday 24 April, Sunday 1 May, Sunday 8 May and Sunday 22 May from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Stalls will be located along the lakefront from Riva Giocondo Albertolli to Riva Vincenzo Vela.
We would like to inform you that the deadline for submitting the registration form expired on 13 March 2022, so registration for the event is now closed.
Vintage Market Lugano
The first sustainable market in the green surroundings of Parco Ciani specialising in vintage clothes and accessories for adults and children. The Vintage Market Lugano will take place on Saturday 18 June 2022 from 10.30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parco Ciani.
Professional exhibitors, hobbyists and associations may take part in the market as exhibitors. We would like to inform you that the deadline for submitting entries expired on 22 May 2022, therefore entries are closed.
Street Food LongLake Festival 2022
The 2022 Street Food Festival is scheduled from Thursday 21 July to Saturday 23 July, from 19:30 to 00:30 on Thursday and Friday and from 18:30 to 00:30 on Saturday. Stalls will be located along the lakefront from Riva Giocondo Albertolli to Riva Vincenzo Vela.

Market - Festa d'Autunno 2022
The Market will take place in the city centre of Lugano from 30 September to 02 October. The 2022 edition plans for the stalls to be located in Via Nassa, Piazza Riforma and Via Pessina.
The submission deadline for the registration form is 7 August 2022
Available exhibition facilities:
The location and type of facility are exclusively assigned by the evaluation committee.
It is not possible to propose own facilities.
STANDARD Wooden hut
Entirely wooden structure with flooring, folding access door, front light garland and internal electrical panel. Interior front display counter 175 x 40 cm, exterior front display counter 180 x 45 cm, exterior side display counter 180 x 45 cm. Internal size 200 x 200 cm. The structure will mainly be available in Piazza Manzoni.

Interior front display counter 160 x 40 cm, exterior front display counter 168 x 45 cm, exterior side display counters (left and right) 88 x 45 cm. Inside dimensions 190 x 110 cm. The structure will be available in the following city streets and squares: Via Nassa, Via Pessina and Piazza Dante.
